70 Rescued After Boat Washes Away In Odisha River

Seventy individuals have been rescued after their boat was washed away close to the mouth of the ocean because of the robust present within the Mahanadi river in Kendrapara district on Saturday.

The incident occurred at Mahakalpada on Saturday night. Fortuitously, no causality was reported within the incident.

“Resulting from heavy present, the boat washed away close to the mouth of the ocean. Although it was dangerous, we rescued all 70 individuals who have been caught there, with none casualties,” Prakash Chandra Sahu, Marine Police Official, Mahakalpada advised ANI.

Based on Administration, boats have been barred from getting into into Mahanadi river.

“As flood water was launched into Mahanadi river from Hirakud dam, the boats have been barred from getting into the river. Boat service was began illegally. Motion will likely be taken in opposition to those that will likely be discovered responsible,” stated Debasis Rout, Block Improvement Officer (BDO), Mahakalpada.
