Christian Democratic Union (CDU) opposition chief Friedrich Merz dropped out of the right-wing “Transatlantic Discussion board” following criticism of the visitor checklist, which features a gun lobbyist, members of the German far-right, and Trump ally Lindsay Graham, Deutsche Welle reported. The occasion was attributable to be hosted by the German state of Baden Wurttemberg, which later pulled out saying some audio system confirmed “shut proximity” to the far-right Various für Deutschland (AfD).
