Peel police arrest 24 suspects in reference to alleged organized crime group

Police west of Toronto say they’ve arrested 24 individuals suspected to be a part of an organized crime group allegedly chargeable for violent crimes and tractor-trailer cargo thefts all through southern Ontario.

Peel Regional Police say investigators started a probe on the alleged organized crime community working within the Better Toronto Space in early 2022.

The drive launched an announcement on Saturday saying these arrested are dealing with a complete of 54 prices, together with possession of property obtained by crime and theft over $5,000.

Police allege the suspects used violence, intimidation and monetary reward to recruit members and commit crimes all through southern Ontario.

In addition they say the group is believed to be chargeable for a number of weapons offences, cargo thefts and drug trafficking.

Search warrants had been carried out at 14 addresses related to the suspects, resulting in the seizure of firearms, unlawful opioids and ten stolen automobiles.
