RENTON, Wash. (AP) — The Seattle Seahawks agreed Monday to commerce defensive again Ugo Amadi to the Philadelphia Eagles for broad receiver/tight finish J.J. Arcega-Whiteside.

The deal includes gamers who haven’t fully lived as much as the expectations their groups had once they drafted them. Amadi has performed largely as a nickel cornerback and backup security for the Seahawks. Arcega-Whiteside has struggled to get entangled offensively for the Eagles and was switched to tight finish this offseason.

Seattle is more likely to hold Arcega-Whiteside as a large receiver because of the group’s depth at tight finish.

Amadi was a fourth-round choose in 2019 and has began 12 of 47 common season video games. Seattle signed nickel cornerback Justin Coleman within the offseason and has used rookie Coby Bryant in that spot throughout coaching camp.

Arcega-Whiteside was a second-round choice in 2019 and has been maligned for his lack of manufacturing whereas the likes of DK Metcalf, Dionte Johnson and Terry McLaurin have been chosen after him. Arcega-Whiteside has 16 profession receptions in 40 video games performed.

“He was a heavier broad receiver, and it’s not going to be exhausting for him to placed on some weight and take his athleticism over to the tight finish aspect the place he can create just a little bit completely different mismatches there in opposition to safeties and linebackers versus corners and nickels. So, I feel that may assist J.J.,” Eagles coach Nick Sirianni stated in April.
