BOSTON – Police say a surveillance photograph reveals Anthony Miele in a ballistic vest, face masks and goggles holding up an Easton financial institution at gunpoint. A month later police posted a photograph of Miele after allegedly trying to rob one other financial institution in Norton, this time he was wearing what seemed to be a full police uniform and vest.Â
The I-Crew has realized investigators consider a few of Miele’s uniform and tools was stolen within the March break-in at Andrea’s Police Provide retailer in Weymouth.Â
At the moment, nobody from the shop wished to speak to the I-Crew in regards to the theft of Boston Police uniforms, jackets, and tools together with a ballistic vest. Weeks later, the Weymouth Police and the FBI tweeted a $5,000 reward for info on suspects concerned within the break in. The priority, that somebody might impersonate a police officer through the marathon, led to heightened safety and officers being informed to be vigilant.Â
In July, Massachusetts State Police noticed the automobile that Miele allegedly used within the financial institution robberies and that led to a chase and an hours lengthy standoff that shut down a part of 495. Police say it ended with Miele useless from a self-inflicted gunshot. In his automobile, sources say had been police uniforms, a minimum of one gun, ammunition, a ballistic vest, police scanner and an earpiece.Â
The Essex County District Lawyer’s workplace tells the I-Crew the investigation into the incident on 495 is ongoing and had no updates to share.Â
