A helicopter crew final week rescued a driver whose car was trapped in a flooded Arizona creek, dramatic video exhibits. 

The Gila County Sheriff’s Workplace mentioned the driving force discovered himself in a “precarious scenario” after he selected to drive round barricades on Tonto Creek the afternoon of July 2.

Division of Public Security trooper and paramedic Russ Dodge instructed FOX 10 the car was trapped for about an hour. 

Dodge mentioned the helicopter hovered over the car and was steady sufficient for him to get into the mattress of the truck.

Although the floodwaters had been practically cresting the door handles, the rescuer was in a position to pull the person out of the car, FOX 10 reported. 

An Arizona Division of Public Security Ranger helicopter and crew rescued the driving force and he was flown to security, the sheriff’s workplace mentioned. 

The driving force, whose identification was not launched, was given a quotation, the sheriff’s division mentioned.

The rescue got here amid heavy rainfall within the area. The Nationwide Climate Service of Phoenix had issued a flood warning the day prior, warning that “low water crossings in Tonto Basin can be impassable for a number of hours to some days.”
