US President Joe Biden on Thursday condemned Republican governors for utilizing immigrants as “props” for “political stunts,” after they transported dozens of individuals by bus and airplane from Florida and Texas into Democratic states.
“Republicans are enjoying politics with human beings, utilizing them as props. What they’re doing is just mistaken, it is un-American, it is reckless,” the president stated on the annual gala of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute.
“Now we have a course of in place to handle migrants on the border. We’re working to verify it is secure and orderly and humane. Republican officers shouldn’t intervene with that course of by waging these political stunts,” he added.
