Investigations into trafficking of individuals for exploitation as employees have resulted in three arrests in Alicante and Callosa de Segura, reported Nationwide Police.
Officers detected two companies that might be using overseas residents and making the most of their vulnerability, as they didn’t communicate the language or know their rights.
Many of the employees had no employment contracts, insurance coverage towards accidents or permits for residency or work.
