Thetraveljunkie.org – We not too long ago attended the Caloundra Music Competition 2021 on Sunday, 3 October 2021 held on the lovely beachside location of Kings Seashore Caloundra on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia. What a delight to see stay music after so lengthy! We’ve spent the final 2 years out and in of lockdown in Melbourne and on the Sunshine Coast and have missed our standard visits to festivals and seeing stay artists. We have been so excited and in addition so impressed with the best way the pageant was run.
Caloundra Music Competition acknowledges the Sunshine Coast Nation, house of the Kabi Kabi and the Jinibara peoples, the Conventional Custodians, whose lands and waters all of us now share.
Properly carried out to the organisers of the Caloundra Music Competition for going forward regardless of impending lockdowns and storm warnings on the primary day. The pageant was a showcase of how issues can run in our “new regular”. From test ins on the gate to masks in busy areas like the doorway and the dance flooring, to a staff of workers consistently cleansing and wiping all areas we felt protected and relaxed. And we’ve by no means seen such clear pageant loos!! Let’s maintain that!!
We picked the final day as we actually wished to see a couple of of our favourites: The Whitlams, Xavier Rudd and Sneaky Sound System. They didn’t disappoint. We additionally liked seeing another artists stay for the primary time together with Mayah & The Band, Sari Abbott, Andrea Kirwin and the Yama-Nui Social Membership, Dorah Jacson, The Dangerous Dad Orchestra, Flaskas, JaZZella, The Superjesus, GENIIE BOY, and De Saint.
The occasion was properly attended by each younger and previous and all ages in between, with households, {couples} and teams of associates having fun with the artwork and craft, the bar and the three levels.
An enormous spotlight to shut on was Xavier Rudd’s efficiency which showcased his musicality and in addition acknowledged the native indigenous Kabi Kabi dancers who carried out on stage in a feast of dance and color.
