Calpe mayoress Ana Sala lamented the ‘tragic loss of life’ of native police officer Juan Manuel Policarpo Moll, who was washed away by flood water within the early hours of Sunday morning as he tried to rescue a driver from his submerged automotive.
Sra Sala declared 5 days of official mourning within the city, which can finish on Thursday.
She famous that members of the safety forces risked their lives every day ‘changing into nameless heroes’.
All public acts organised by the city corridor might be postponed in the course of the mourning interval.
