Patna: The Central Bureau of Investigation on Wednesday performed raids in Bihar in alleged land-for railways jobs case.

Raids by a central company are underway on the residence of RJD MLC Sunil Singh in Patna.

“It’s being finished deliberately. There is no such thing as a that means to it. They’re doing it pondering that out of worry, MLAs will come of their favour,” says Singh, RJD MLC and Chairman of Biscomaun Patna.

Individually, searches had been performed by the Central Bureau of Investigation immediately at a number of places in Bihar and Ranchi in Jharkhand in its ongoing investigation in reference to unlawful mining and extortion.

The raids are being performed after the interrogation of Pankaj Mishra who’s MLA consultant of CM Hemant Soren.

The places are linked to 1 Prem Prakash, who’s believed to have sturdy connections with politicians.

Earlier, on July 19, the ED arrested Pankaj Mishra. A Particular PMLA Courtroom at Ranchi had remanded him to ED custody until August 1.

Beforehand, the ED had seized and frozen money amounting to Rs 13.32 crore mendacity in 50 financial institution accounts, Rs 5.34 crore unaccounted money, illegally operated stone crushers and in addition seized numerous incriminating paperwork which it claimed belonged to Pankaj Mishra, Dahoo Yadav and their associates, below the Prevention of Cash Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002 after searches at 21 places in Sahibganj, Barhet, Rajmahal, Mirza Chauki and Barharwa on July 8.
