A celebration of the superb lifetime of former Calpe resident Tony Slater might be held at Preston crematorium on Thursday, 19 January, at 1pm. Preston born Tony, who sadly died aged 86, was a prolific fundraiser throughout his lifetime.

Tony, former proprietor of Calpe Rock,  raised hundreds of kilos for a plethora of native and nationwide charities.

As a substitute of flowers for his funeral a request has been made for donations to Rosemere Most cancers Basis.

Singer/entertainer Tony, featured in The Chief in recent times, a good friend of the celebs, died of mind most cancers in December.

Tony is pictured with award successful actress, comic and greatest promoting creator Christine Murray, identified professionally as Crissy Rock.

Murray is most notable for her function as Maggie Conlan within the 1994 movie Ladybird, Ladybird, and as Janey York in TV collection Benidorm, whom she performed from 2007-11, returning in Episode 6 of Sequence 5 for a cameo function, and for 2 episodes of Sequence 7 in 2015.
