China has stepped up its response to Nancy Pelosi’s go to to Taiwan with a variety of measures together with the suspension of cooperation mechanisms with Washington, sanctions towards the Speaker of the US Home of Representatives and sending warfare ships and plane throughout the Taiwan Strait.

Two days after the veteran politician’s controversial journey, Beijing introduced eight measures together with the suspension of cooperation in areas corresponding to judicial affairs, local weather change, the repatriation of irregular migrants, felony authorized help, combating transnational crimes and talks on combating local weather change.

Beijing made the choice public barely an hour after imposing sanctions on Pelosi and her fast relations for “disregarding China’s concern and robust opposition” to her journey and for “undermining (its) sovereignty and territorial integrity”.

Taiwan stated Friday that as much as 68 Chinese language plane and 13 ships remained within the Taiwan Strait and that a few of them had crossed the unofficial dividing line on the second day of navy maneuvers initiated by Beijing on Thursday in response to Pelosi’s go to.

Taiwan’s president Tsai Ing-wen known as China’s live-fire navy drills and missile launches across the island as “irrational” and an “irresponsible” act which can be fueling tensions within the Indo-Pacific and demanded it “act with cause” and restraint.
