Driver fined €8,000 for U-turn on Italy’s A1 motorway



Incident north of Rome was caught on digital camera.

A motorist has been fined €8,000 by Italian police after making a U-turn on the A1 motorway north of Rome.

The driving force, described in Italian information experiences as “international”, was caught on digital camera making the unlawful manoeuvre and was subsequently stopped by police as he approached the capital.

The motorist justified his actions by stating that, after getting caught in the mistaken route, his GPS navigation system instructed him to make a U-turn as quickly as doable, which he did.

Along with the large high quality, the person had his driving licence seized and his SUV was confiscated for 3 months.

Italian police are making ready a file for public prosecutors in Rieti and also will ship a report back to authorities within the man’s nation to stop a licence from being issued.
