Now again to the recipe. This one is a standard recipe in southern a part of India. Every place have their very own approach of constructing Erissery. . Its fairly easy to make, however the style was superior. I made this for Onam and we completely loved that meal.

Make Erissery

  1. Soak Cow peas over night time in plenty of water. Drain the water and Stress prepare dinner it with a some water for 3 whistle. Let it simmer for five minutes. Change off the flame and let the strain go all by itself. Take away and put aside.
  2. Now take cubed yam in a kadai and canopy it with water. Add salt to it.cowl and prepare dinner for 15-20 minutes until the yam is totally cooked.
  3. Add the cooked cowpeas on this and blend nicely.
  4. Now take the grinding elements in a mixer and make right into a nice paste.
  5. Pour this over the cooked yam and cow peas and blend nicely.
  6. Let it simmer for 10 minutes.
  7. Now make the seasoning. Warmth oil and add mustard, urad dal and curry leaves on this. Let it sizzle and crack.
  8. Pour this over the curry and blend nicely.
  9. Serve with rice
