European Union international ministers are unlikely to unanimously again a ban on visas for all Russians once they meet later this week, EU international coverage chief Josep Borrell has stated.
“I don’t assume that to chop the connection with the Russian civilian inhabitants will assist and I don’t assume that this concept could have the required unanimity,” Borrell, who chairs EU international ministers’ conferences, informed Austria’s ORF TV on Sunday.
“I feel that we’ve got to overview the way in which that some Russians get a visa, actually the oligarchs not. We have now to be extra selective. However I’m not in favour of stopping delivering visas to all Russians.”
