Firefighters known as to passenger ferry blaze in Spain’s Valencia port


SEVEN fireplace engines had been scrambled on Monday after a fireplace broke out onboard a ferry docked on the port of Valencia.

Preliminary studies say the fireplace began in a cabin on the second deck of the ‘Ciudad Alcudia’, operated by Grimaldi Strains.

The vessel primarily offers a ferry service between Mallorca and Valencia however seems to have had no passengers on board on the time of the incident

Alarms had been set off throughout the boat earlier than 2.00 pm.

The Port Authority activated its Inside Emergency Plan, with the fireplace extinguished.

The Valencian Authorities mentioned had been no accidents however eight ferry crew members required remedy for smoke inhalation.
