La Guardia Civil managed to bust an Albanian gang that specialised in smuggling unlawful immigrants, a few of them minors, into the UK.
The Albanian immigrants would journey as stowaways on service provider ships or ferries, paying between 3,000 and 15,000 euros to the gang.
The Guardia Civil, in cooperation with the British NCA, started investigating on the finish of 2019. Apparently, the gang had been working this fashion since 2014.
Because of this cooperation and the data obtained, the Guardia Civil managed to arrest seven of the gang members and with different arrests lined up.
So, what has the Guardia Civil obtained to do with an Albanian smuggling operation transferring illegals into the UK, you ask. The reply is that the ships and ferries used had been working out of Bilbao and Santander.
The gang members could be in Spain for 3 months after which return to Albania, displaying off a wealth incompatible with their supposed jobs. For that reason, the Guardia Civil needed to transfer quick earlier than the ringleaders left the nation once more.
Having tracked their motion from Bizkaia within the Basque Lands, the police caught two of the ring leaders at Madrid airport, ready to board a flight for Albania.
