Germany mulls follow-up to summer time’s low-cost prepare tickets


German chancellor Olaf Scholz has hailed his nation’s three-month trial of a nationwide €9 transport move as a “huge success”, and introduced talks on a follow-up. The ticket allowed limitless transport on the nation’s buses, native trains, trams and undergrounds for the months of June, July and August, to offset the price of dwelling disaster, with solely high-speed intercity trains excluded. The FDP warned it value €14bn in subsidies.
