BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 17. Wildfires are
being put out in Azerbaijan’s northern and north-western areas,
the Ministry of Emergency Conditions of Azerbaijan informed Development.
Fires are being extinguished in Gabala, Shabran and Khacmaz
districts. To be able to make sure the effectiveness of those measures,
a fireplace prepare arrived in Khachmaz.
Hearth extinguishing operations are carried out in areas with
troublesome mountainous terrain and areas close to settlements. Scorching and
windy climate prevents these operations.
Presently, workers and particular tools of the State Hearth
Safety Service, the northern and North-Western regional facilities
of the Ministry of Emergency Conditions, Civil Protection troops and
Particular Danger Rescue Service, amphibious plane ‘BE 200 ÇS’ and a pair of
helicopters of the aviation detachment of the Ministry of Emergency
Conditions, in addition to workers of the forestry Heart of the
Ministry of Ecology and Pure Sources, Azersu JSC, native
government authorities and native residents, are concerned in placing
out the fires.
