Industrialist Ratan Tata on Tuesday introduced an undisclosed
funding into startup Goodfellows that gives companionship to
senior residents as a service.
The octogenarian has been an energetic backer of startups ever
since retiring from the helm of the Tata Group and has invested in
over 50 corporations until now.
The newest investee firm is based by Shantanu Naidu.
Thirty-year-old Naidu, a Cornell College alumnus, is a normal
supervisor in Tata’s workplace and has been aiding him since 2018.
“You have no idea what it’s prefer to be lonely till you spend
time alone wishing for companionship,” the 84-year Tata, a
bachelor, stated, appreciating Naidu’s ideation and in addition forgiving
his mentee for the time he spends away from the workplace.
