JMM had supported the NDA candidate Droupadi Murmu within the July 18 Presidential election
New Delhi/Ranchi: The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) on Wednesday introduced its help for Opposition candidate Margaret Alva within the August 6 Vice-Presidential election.
Get together supremo Shibu Soren requested the three JMM MPs to vote in favour of former Union minister Alva.
Regardless of being an Opposition occasion, the JMM had supported the NDA candidate Droupadi Murmu within the July 18 Presidential election.
The NDA has fielded former West Bengal governor Jagdeep Dhankhar as its nominee.
The swap comes a couple of week after three legislators of the Congress, which is an alliance associate within the Jharkhand authorities coalition, had been caught by the West Bengal police with about Rs 50 lakh money.
The Congerss has alleged that the cash was given to them by the BJP as a part of its ‘Operation Lotus’ to defect in order to defeat the Soren authorities.
