Suspects Regina Rojas, 35, and Jessica Thomas, 32, had been arrested after an investigation into drug trafficking that lasted a number of months. They’re each from northern California.

Rojas and Thomas are being held on the Douglas County jail on a number of prices.

A Douglas County spokesperson advised FOX 11 there was no fentanyl contamination on the jail or some other facility.

“First I need to say I’m grateful this publicity didn’t trigger hurt to any of our officers,” Sheriff Dan Coverley stated. “This incident is a vivid reminder of the intense risks of fentanyl.”
