A 42-year-old software program engineer was arrested in Uttar Pradesh’s Higher Noida on Thursday for making a Twitter account within the title of President Droupadi Murmu’s daughter, officers stated.
The accused, who works with a number one multinational agency, had created the pretend social media account with a view to exert affect on his neighbour with whom he had a private battle, they stated.
Accused Shailendra Shukla, who lives within the Chi Fi sector of Higher Noida, was arrested by officers of the Beta 2 police station from the native market, a police spokesperson stated.
“The accused is a cyber legal who was harassing individuals utilizing a pretend Twitter account within the title of President Murmu’s daughter Itishree Murmu. He used this pretend account to exert affect on a neighbour of his with whom he had a private battle,” Beta 2 police station in-charge Anil Kumar stated.
Three cellphones, together with the one used to function the pretend social media account, had been seized from his possession throughout the arrest, he stated.
Shukla has been booked beneath Indian Penal Code sections 504 (intentional insult to impress breach of public peace) and 507 (legal intimidation by nameless communication), the official stated.
He has additionally been charged beneath related provisions of the Data Know-how Act, the official added.
