In particolare, ho reagito con durezza alla frase “mi ti compro”, che pur non costituendo in sé una concreta proposta corruttiva, mi ha portato a chiedere con foga sicuramente eccessiva e termini inappropriati, di ritirarla immediatamente perché l’ho considerata lesiva della mia onorabilità». «Si tratta di una lite per motivi calcistici, accaduta circa due mesi fa a Frosinone con una terza persona, che non voglio citare, al termine di una cena. Alla scena erano presenti anche Vladimiro e Francesco De Angelis con il quale ho ottimi rapporti. Niente di più», spiega Ruberti contattato dal Foglio. Stessa versione confermata da Sara Battisti: «Period un banale diverbio per motivi di tifoseria tra Albino e altre persone sulla Roma e la Lazio». «Pur essendo completamente estraneo al diverbio al quale ho solo in parte assistito, al tremendous di evitare strumentalizzazioni durante la campagna elettorale ho ritirato la mia candidatura per il Collegio di Roma 1, confermando tutto il mio impegno a supporto della lista del Partito Democratico e di tutti i suoi candidati» spiega in una nota Francesco De Angelis.
