Perth man accused of threatening to kill WA Premier arrested once more

A Perth man who allegedly threatened to kill West Australian Premier Mark McGowan and urged a violent overthrow of the federal government is again behind bars for allegedly creating new social media profiles.

Counter-terrorism police allegedly discovered proof of the profiles when inspecting Jamon Allan Hartzer’s telephone as a part of a bail compliance test.

He was arrested on September 7 and remanded to look in Perth Magistrates Court docket on Friday, federal police stated.

Hartzer, 43, was arrested in October 2021 for allegedly threatening numerous public officers, together with McGowan, amid heated debate about COVID-19 restrictions, vaccine mandates and border closures.

The Perth man is charged with 4 offences together with making threats to kill, injure or hurt any individual and urging violence in opposition to the structure. The latter cost encompasses the intentional urging of others to overthrow the federal structure or governments by pressure or violence. The utmost jail time period is seven years.
