Homecoming is a time of faculty spirit and enjoyable for the Paris Wildcats, as they rejoice Homecoming Spirit Week with a theme of “Wildcat Throwback!”
Monday is “Superstar Day,” and college students gown up like celebrities. On Tuesday, college students gown in “Tie Dye.” “Vacation Day” would be the gown on Wednesday; college students can decide their favourite vacation apparel to decorate up in. Then Thursday, it’s “Vacation spot Day,” when college students gown like a vacationer. Friday, college students will present their “Wildcat Spirit” and gown in spirit shirts.
The Distinguished Graduate Awards will probably be offered within the PHS Commons Space at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, adopted by a viewing of the Wall of Honor. The 2022 Awardee is DuWayne Lee Wirta (Class of 1966).
The 2022 Homecoming Queen and King nominees will probably be launched through the pep rally which begins Friday at 3 p.m. at Wildcat Stadium. Queen nominees are A’Sriana Johnson, Evelin Lopez, J’Nyria Jefferson, Keyli Holt and Kiley Martinez. King nominees are Ahmad Payments, Cornelius Sims, Jordy Mendoza, Kadyn McDonald Hildreth and Preston Clark. The 2022 Homecoming King will probably be introduced through the pep rally, and the Queen will probably be introduced in pregame ceremonies at 7 p.m.
The parade follows the pep rally, and the route begins downtown in Market Sq. at 4 p.m.
Additional autos won’t be allowed to park close to the Farmers Market staging space. The procession will flip east onto West Sherman, then north on South Predominant, east on Clarksville Road, north on third SE (in entrance of First United Methodist Church) for one block, west on Lamar Avenue (U.S. 82 Enterprise) to the west facet of downtown plaza, south on 1st SW and return to the Farmers Market space. Later that night, PHS hosts Nice Grove for the homecoming recreation. Particular recreation evening actions embrace the Homecoming Queen Coronation at Wildcat Stadium starting at 7 p.m.
