A garbage skiff that had been working to take away refuse from the floor of the ocean in Torrox, found the physique of a person just below the floor.
It was 16.20h on Thursday when the skiff operator raised the alarm. He then jumped into the water to retrieve the sufferer. He found that the physique was tied to the anchor cable of a yellow, marker buoy some 200 metres from the seashore.

The Guardia Civil used divers from their specialist unit, GEAS, based mostly in Benalmádena, to launch the physique and convey it to the floor. The sufferer was carrying a weighted belt, swimming trunks and diving googles.
The physique, which belonged to a person in his 50s, was taken to the Caleta de Vélez Marina the place it was later taken to the Instituto de Medicina Authorized in Málaga for an post-mortem.
