A reader writes in about Salobreña and a detrimental evaluate that he has seen in town.
I lately stumbled throughout a evaluate of Salobrena from a latest customer which, mainly, described the city as having an okay fortress, an okay downtown and an outdated city that smells of human waste, is dingy and soiled with pavements lined in poo and feral cats.
Now don’t get me mistaken I’ve been coming to Salobrena for over 20 years, I’ve buddies within the city and I find it irresistible to bits. And we will all consider a number of the explanation why the place is struggling to face up straight, though it feels prefer it’s been attempting to face up straight eternally.
However the reviewer has some extent. With the Mayor always trumpeting the cities tourism, getting cash for it (?) and official touristic designations why isn’t the city, if you get there, the gorgeous gem that it seems to be from a distance?
Sadly, I feel it’s getting worse not higher. The seaside space seems drained and unhappy.
