Ukraine hit again Thursday at Silvio Berlusconi after the previous Italian prime minister praised Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“He should be below the affect of Russian vodka,” blasted Mykhailo Podolyak, an adviser to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s workplace, writing in Italian on Twitter.

Berlusconi has “reconnected” with Putin and described himself as one of many Russian president’s “5 actual buddies,” in accordance with a leaked audio recording revealed in Italian media earlier this week.

Podolyak praised Italy’s anticipated subsequent prime minister, the far-right Giorgia Meloni, who slapped down Berlusconi after the previous chief’s inflammatory remarks.

“Any disaster opens the best way for true leaders,” and Meloni “demonstrates what the true ideas and understanding of worldwide challenges are. Everybody chooses their very own path,” Podolyak added.

Ukraine’s embassy in Italy stated it was “saddened” to learn Berlusconi’s feedback describing them as “imperialist authoritarian statements.”
