At the least 5 individuals had been killed and 13 injured when a person drove his automobile into pedestrians within the southern hub of Guangzhou in China on Wednesday.

Native studies mentioned that the person, after ploughing his automobile into the pedestrians on the busy intersection, began throwing cash into the air.

The incident occurred round 5:25pm native time on Wednesday on the intersection of Tianhe Highway and Tiyu East Highway in Guangzhou.

Movies and images of the incident shared on Chinese language social media Douyin and Weibo confirmed that there have been many individuals strolling and crossing the intersection when the motive force slammed into them.

One other video exhibits the motive force pulling as much as the aspect of the street after crashing into pedestrians and throwing banknotes into the air.

Native police mentioned the motive force was a 22-year-old man who was driving a black SUV. What’s on Weibo reported that the motive force is from Jieyang in Guangdong and was recognized as Wen X.

The incident sparked huge outrage among the many residents with a number of accusing the motive force of intentionally focusing on harmless pedestrians.

It was reported that the police have detained the motive force of the automobile and launched an investigation.

On Weibo, one commentator wrote: “That is the primary time in my life I’ve ever been ashamed to say I come from Jieyang.” One other wrote: “I noticed the movies and I’m crying, I’m so shocked.”
