JAKARTA, 30 August 2022 – The Indian Minister of State for Exterior Affairs and Training Dr Rajkumar Rajnan Singh and the Secretary-Normal of ASEAN Dato Lim Jock Hoi collectively inaugurated the ASEAN-India Community of Universities (AINU) on 29 August. AINU is aimed toward twinning universities in India and ASEAN underneath widespread areas of curiosity by College Change Programmes.
Dato Lim Jock Hoi, in his opening remarks, appreciated the continuing scholarship programmes provided by India and hoped that the community will contribute to the ASEAN Workplan on Training (2021-2025) in addition to the assorted cross-sectoral initiatives together with the Grasp Plan on ASEAN Connectivity 2025, the ASEAN Declaration on Human Useful resource Growth for Altering World of Work and the ASEAN Digitalization Masterplan 2025.
In his remarks, Dr Singh shared the highlights of India’s New Training Coverage and its relevance in forging collaboration between academic establishments in India and ASEAN.
The Deputy Secretaries-Normal of ASEAN, Everlasting Representatives of the ASEAN Member States to ASEAN, Vice Chancellor of the Nalanda College and different dignitaries joined the launch occasion on the ASEAN Secretariat. In the meantime, representatives of AINU’s collaborating universities and the Govt Director of the ASEAN College Community attended the occasion on-line.
The inauguration of AINU marks a big milestone as ASEAN and India have fun the 12 months 2022 as ASEAN-India Friendship 12 months to commemorate 30 years of their relationship.
The launch occasion was adopted by the Minister Singh’s interplay with the Committee of Everlasting Representatives to ASEAN to additional focus on ASEAN-India relations and change views on regional and international problems with mutual curiosity.
