Belongings Price Rs 390 Crore Seized In Tax Raids In Maharashtra’s Jalna

Round Rs 390 crore of “benami” property or “unaccounted” belongings was seized by the Revenue Tax Division throughout raids at a number of areas linked to some enterprise teams in Maharashtra’s Jalna over tax evasion, officers have stated. 

The seized belongings included Rs 56 crore in money and 32 kilograms of gold, pearls and diamonds price Rs 14 crore. Officers additionally recovered some property paperwork and digital knowledge through the raids. 

The raids have been carried out between August 1 and eight on the residential and official premises linked to 2 enterprise teams dealing in metal, clothes, and actual property. 

It took the officers about 13 hours to rely the precise amount of money seized through the raids.

After receiving inputs about alleged tax evasion by these enterprise teams, the Revenue Tax Division had shaped 5 groups comprising 260 officers from throughout the state for the search operation.

Greater than 120 autos have been used within the operation, officers stated.
