Thane: In suspicion of being a police informer, a 28-year-old scrap supplier from Ambivli village in Maharashtra’s Thane district was attacked by a gang of criminals, an officer mentioned on Wednesday.

The incident occurred within the early hours of Tuesday when the sufferer, Jaffar Yusuf (Ashok) Irani, was having meals on the Ganpati pandal in Lahuji Nagar slum colony.

5 males, allegedly criminals of a gang concerned in snatching of chains and different crimes, arrived on the spot, sprayed one thing on Irani’s face and attacked him with choppers and different lethal weapons, the police officer mentioned.
