A fireplace which broke out within the early hours of Sunday morning in a dry irrigation pool in Ciudad Quesada, Rojales – which is stuffed with backyard waste and crops – continues to be smouldering, though beneath management.

A spokesperson for the provincial hearth brigade stated their first actions had been to verify it didn’t unfold from the contained space, close to the Consum grocery store and the CV-905 twin carriageway.
