India prolonged concessional loans of over 12.3 billion {dollars} to Africa: S Jaishankar at CII EXIM Financial institution Conclave



Exterior Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on July 19 talking at
the seventeenth CII EXIM Financial institution Conclave on India-Africa development partnership
stated that India has prolonged concessional loans of over 12.3
billion {dollars} to Africa.

“Being a trusted accomplice within the journey of socio-economic
growth, India has prolonged concessional loans of over 12.3
billion {dollars} to Africa. We’ve got accomplished 197 tasks to date,
65 extra are at present beneath execution and 81 are on the
pre-execution stage,” stated Jaishankar

“We’re dedicated in direction of enhancing capability constructing and talent
growth amongst African youth. On this context we had introduced
50,000 scholarships in 2015 out of which 30 per cent of slots have
already been utilised,” he added.
