July was the most popular month ever recorded in Spain, in response to a press launch despatched out by the ministry for the ecological transition on Monday.
The heatwave which affected the nation through the month was ‘essentially the most intense’ and the second longest on file, working from July 9 to 26.
It was brought on by a ‘potent anticyclone’ within the Atlantic which ‘favoured the arrival of a mass of highly regarded air from Africa’.
