Motorcyclist from Penticton, B.C. killed in collision on Channel Parkway – Okanagan

A South Okanagan man was killed in a motorized vehicle collision in Penticton, B.C., on Thursday afternoon.

Based on police, the collision occurred on the Channel Parkway in the course of the midday hour, and concerned a bike and a automobile turning left at an intersection.

Penticton RCMP say the Yamaha motorbike was heading southbound, and collided with the northbound Volkswagen that was turning onto Inexperienced Mountain Street.

Police say the motorcyclist, a 64 year-old man from Penticton, died on the scene. The driving force of the Volkswagen, a 40 year-old man additionally from Penticton, was unhurt.

They added that there was no indication of criminality within the collision.
