Ok’taka govt makes singing of nationwide anthem obligatory in faculties and PU faculties


Bengaluru: The Karnataka authorities has issued an order mandating all faculties and pre-university faculties within the state to make college students sing the nationwide anthem each morning, in the course of the mass prayer.

The order dated August 17 is relevant to all authorities, aided and personal faculties and pre-university faculties.

In accordance with the order, regardless of the federal government order being in power on this regard, some main and secondary faculties in Bengaluru haven’t been practising the mass singing of the nationwide anthem throughout morning prayers, and the federal government has obtained complaints about this.

It stated following the complaints, Deputy Administrators of the Division of Public Instruction, Bengaluru North and South divisions have visited the colleges involved and confirmed that the singing of nationwide anthem within the morning prayer was not taking place there.

The order cites Part 133(2) of the Karnataka Training Act, which provides the federal government the ability to challenge instructions.

The order additionally says in case of lack of house for mass prayer, the nationwide anthem ought to be sung within the school rooms.
