Ottawa firefighters and paramedics have rescued a person after he fell down a slope whereas strolling below the Alexandra Bridge on Sunday afternoon.

The situation of the incident made for a tough rescue. Paramedics requested for Ottawa Fireplace Companies’ water rescue crew to help after receiving a name that the person, 48, had fallen and was injured.
Tactical paramedics rappelled down the bridge to evaluate the person, who had sustained leg, facial and attainable head accidents.
The person was moved onto a stretcher and was handed over to the medics and firefighters in a rescue boat that had been launched from the Hull Marina in Gatineau.
At 4:37 p.m., the water rescue boat transported the person to an ambulance ready on the Ottawa Rowing Membership on Woman Gray Drive in Ottawa.
Paramedics say the person was in steady situation and was transported to the hospital trauma centre as a precaution.
