Captain Dunagan, 30, piloted one of many two U-2’s from america that arrived at Laverton yesterday.
The ungainly, gull-like U-2’s can be stationed completely at Laverton to take higher air samples south of Australia for fall-out and radioactivity exams.
After stripping from their clumsy flying fits Captain Dunagan and the opposite pilot, Captain Joe Hyde (33), requested for beer to exchange the fluid that they had misplaced on the flight.
“Beer is a superb physique rejuvenator and places again the fluids,” Captain Hyde stated.
