New Delhi: The remission granted by the Gujarat authorities to 11 convicts within the Bilkis Bano case was challenged earlier than the Supreme Court docket on Tuesday.

Earlier on August 19, Telangana MLC Okay Kavitha wrote a letter to Chief Justice of India, NV Ramana urging the Supreme Court docket to intervene within the matter of the discharge of 11 convicts within the Bilkis Bano rape case below the remission coverage of the Gujarat authorities.

The Gujarat authorities launched the 11 convicts, who have been sentenced to life imprisonment, on August 15.
