‘Cinema Opera’ takes place in Rome for first time.
Rome’s opera home, Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, is staging a free pageant of opera and dance movies within the piazza in entrance of its base at Teatro Costanzi, from 10 to 13 August.
The open-air occasion will embody the screening of 5 productions filmed in areas together with Galleria Borghese, Palazzo Farnese, the workshop on the Circus Maximus that makes the opera units, and the empty opera home itself.
The screenings, every night time at 20.30 in Piazza Beniamino Gigli, embody The Barber of Seville, La Traviata, La bohéme, Il suono della bellezza, and Nuit Romaine.

Rome mayor Roberto Gualtieri stated the opera initiative would “additional enrich the already huge and full of life cultural supply” dedicated to residents and vacationers this summer season, as Italy approaches the mid-August vacation of Ferragosto.
The opera home superintendent Francesco Giambrone stated the occasion, which comes because the summer season opera season concludes on the Baths of Caracalla, was designed for the “many Romans who stay within the metropolis on this interval and for the vacationers who’ve come again to animate it.”
