Soren govt wins confidence vote amid walkout by BJP MLAs

RANCHI:  The Jharkhand Meeting on Monday handed the boldness movement tabled by Chief Minister Hemant Soren amid a walkout staged by BJP legislators.

As many as 48 MLAs voted in favour of the boldness movement within the 81-member Meeting.

Talking in the course of the one-day particular session, Soren stated the necessity for belief vote was felt as BJP was “trying to destabilise democratically elected governments” in non-BJP dominated states, together with Jharkhand.

He alleged that the BJP was attempting to create a “civil war-like state of affairs in nation by fuelling riots to win elections”.

Shortly after, the meeting was adjourned sine-die.
