Vancouver police say they used a beanbag shotgun to arrest a person “seen carrying a gun” in a downtown bar Monday night.

The incident occurred simply after 6 p.m. on the Lennox Pub close to the intersection of Granville and Robson streets, VPD spokesperson Sgt. Steve Addison stated.

One Reddit person who witnessed the incident stated they heard police yelling “drop it, drop to the bottom.”

Addison stated the suspect was taken to hospital with non-life threatening accidents, and that the investigation was ongoing.
